Collectors will have four weeks to place their orders for the American Eagle West Point two-coin silver set when it is offered by the U.S. Mint beginning May 9 at noon Eastern Daylight Time. Sales will conclude at 5 p.m. EDT on June 6.
Final mintage for the set will be determined by the number of orders received as was the case with the 2012 two-coin San Francisco silver Eagle set.
The two-coin 2013 West Point set will feature a “W” mintmarked reverse proof silver American Eagle and a “W” mintmarked enhanced uncirculated coin that uses three finishes to achieve a distinctive look.
Delivery of sets to buyers was scheduled to begin in the middle of June.
As of press time price of the set was not yet determined. Also, there will be initial order limits placed on buyers. Those limits had not been determined by press time.
Last year the number of two-coin San Francisco silver sets sold was 224,981.
