Spink-Smythe offers USPM April 20-23 in NYC
April 15, 2009



Spink-Smythe has a two catalog offering for their New York sale April 20-23. Schingoethe Part 17 will be offered in two sessions, April 20-21 featuring 1070 lots. The Collectors Series catalog offers items on April 22-23 in 1243 lots.

The Schingoethe Collection material is offered as individual lots and small groups and features U.S. Obsolete Bank Notes. Many Haxby Plate notes are featured, as are proofs.

The Collector's Series Catalog offeres selections of Colonial, Obsolete and Federal U.S. Currency; A nice selection of World Bank notes, many of which are specimens; Stocks and Bonds; Ancient Roman Coins; World Coins; U.S. Coins and a selection of Medals. Autographs are also highlighted.

George Cuhaj has been with the Krause Publications numismatic team since 1994. He is editor of the various editions of the Standard Catalog of World Coins and the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money. Prior to joining KP, Cuhaj was employed by the American Numismatic Society and Stack's Rare Coins, both of New York City. He is a Fellow in both the Royal Numismatic Society and the American Numismatic Society. He also is a life member and past board member of the International Bank Note Society. Cuhaj was elected an Allied Professional Member of the National Sculpture Society and has had his medallic work exhibited internationally.
