Luke Syson to Speak at ANS on Renaissance Portrait Medals

The first Mark M. Slaton Memorial Lecture of the American Numismatic Society will be delivered by Luke Syson, Curator at the National Gallery, London.

His topic will be: Reading Renaissance Portraits: Clues from Medals.

The program will begin with a reception at 5:30 and talk at 6 PM at the ANS's new location on the 11th floor of 75 Varick St. The talk will be followed by dinner (at a subscription price of $95. per person) at a nearby resturant.

I've known Luke for over 20 years and as I am expecting to be in NYC that week, will be attending!
