Latvia Getting Ready for Euro...!
February 18, 2009

Well, looking around some Central Bank websites this week checking on new issues I ran across that of the Central Bank of Latvia.

They are expecting to join the Euro issuing countries in 2010 or 2011, but have already held a design competion and have a set of country side designs. I will be looking forward to them when they hit circulation in a few years.

Very nice!

I have always found that design to be attractive.  I am glad it has been selected for the Latvian euro.
