Another Busy Day in Berlin
February 09, 2009

2nd COTY Awards Ceremony at the World Money Fair

Saturday was another busy day for all of us here in Berlin at the World Money Fair. Our Coin of the Year awards ceremony went very well, with a larger and more diverse crowd than last year.

Edmund Moy, Direct of the U.S. Mint was pleased to accept three awards. Belarus took two awards and Mongolia won the big prize of overall coin of the year.

Full details will be available within a day or so on the NumisMaster website, the Numismatic News website and the World Coin News website, all linked here by clicking on the links.

One exciting aspect of conversation at this year's awards ceremony involved discussions about new President Barack Obama. Everyone in Europe is happy with our choice of President Obama and all are looking toward him as a way to a better future for world relations and better economic times.
