NY International Show Busy! January 15, 2009
The NY International show was held January 8-11th at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in NYC.
The bourse is spread out over four rooms on the 18th floor, it was interesting to have the company table this year located within one of the two smaller rooms. We had fewer visitors to our table than when we were located in the rotunda next to the registration table, however those that did visit us were very interested collectors.
Most of the auctions held during the week had strong bids from the floor, and many prices exceeded estimates.
It just goes to show you that although the "economy" is in a slump, diehard collectors will still maintain their collecting budgets.
