New York International Numismatic Convention, and a New Year!
January 05, 2009

New Year Greetings. Best wishes for good collecting!

I'll be attending the New York International Numismatic Convention, Thursday thru Sunday January 8-11. The location is the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, Park Avenue at 50th Street. New York City. Just a few blocks north of Grand Cetnral Terminal, and easily accessible to public transportation in the city.

Thursday is a premium admission date with the bourse opening in the afternoon to the early bird registrants.

Friday and Saturday are regular admission days, with Sunday being a short schedule.

There are auctions nearly every night and some afternoon sessions too, starting on Monday the 5th and going well into the following week with offerings by Stack's and Spink-Smythe.

Saturday at the NYINC is also packed with many educational programs - with meetings of specialty clubs randing from Ancients and art medals to French coinage. There is also a YN program organized by Larry Gentile to give the young collectors exposure to the world marketplace.

Stop by the Krause Publications table which is located just off the registration desk and see some of our new book and DVD products.
